Warrior DPS Rotation

Warrior

The warrior is a melee fighting based character that is able to adorn mail armor until they reach level 40 and then is able to upgrade to plate armor thus increasing their ability to withstand hits from mobs. If a warrior utilizes the protection tree and carries a shield they are a wonderful tanking class able to hold aggro when fighting mobs with groups of players. The weapon of choice for this class if based in arms tree is a two handed weapon however, if the warrior has chosen the fury tree they are better off to dual wield one handed weapons. This class is able to equip a better choice of weapons than any other class. This is a benefit as they are highly dependent on armor and weapon to withstand damage. As with all classes there are upsides and downsides to playing this type of character.

The warrior is also dependent on the ability to create and hold rage on the mobs. In regard to the damage dealt the warrior is not the highest dps class. In addition, this class is dependent on a strong healer within the group. Due to the inability to fight range mobs this class may struggle when in player vs. player (PVP) battles. Warriors also have the ability to take different stances when in combat. These stances include battle, defensive and berserker. The tank warrior is vital to group dynamics as they are to take a majority of the damage while the other classes burn down the mob’s life. However, if in a dps role the warrior is able to deal large quantities of dps in melee form in a short amount of time.

The warrior has the ability to buff an entire group or raid with “shout” abilities. These include Battle or Commanding shout. Fury warriors also have a passive buff that increase the critical strike chance of group members. When tanking they are blessed with many methods of gaining and retrieving the mobs from other players unable to withstand the hits that a warrior is able. As the “teams” in World of Warcraft are Alliance and Horde only certain races have the ability to play certain classes. On the Alliance side the Draenei, Dwarf, Gnome, Humans, Night Elf and Worgen races are all able to become a warrior class this making all Alliance warrior capable. Warrior capable Horde races include Orc, Tauren, Troll, and Undead and as of the latest expansion release have grown to include Blood Elf and Goblin races as well. The fact that all races are able to play the warrior makes it a favorite among players that roll more than one toon or character.
