Death Knight DPS Rotation

The Death Knight, a hero class of epic proportions. The popularity of this class is something that sky rocketed shortly after its release. The Death Knight does the most DPSS when it comes to up close and personal combat, its melee is unrivaled by the other classes despite the slight short coming in other areas, but to help bridge that gap they have the ability to pull in ranged classes for an easy kill. The death knight has talents that are split into 3 trees, the highest DPS being the Frost spec. Here’s a list.

Tree 1: Blood - This tree is the tanking tree, utilized for greatly for tanking, this tree is unstoppable. It amplifies the melee spells, weapons, and abilities as well as recharging health and an above-average rate. It improves all melee abilities and gives a great boost to self healing, these talents are based on something called Blood Runes. Providing also an additional healing utility to affect party and raid members this class offers also an amount of buffing or rebuffing.

Tree 2: Frost - As stated before this offers the highest DPS spec out of all the trees for this hero class. It controls many elements such as having a strong critical-strike and bonus-damage themes, and an increase in mitigation. As the Blood spec this also enhances melee abilities with the focus on increasing AoE’s and single mob attacks, in raids or groups this tree offers an increase of speed and attack percentages.

Tree 3: Unholy - The unholy spec is often used best in Soloing or PVE with a large dependence on DOTs (Damage over time.), focusing quiet a bit on disease related abilities, improving summoning minions and great AoE (area of effect). More features such as shielding are also offered in this tree. The main DPS focus on this tree is AoE, and summoning the previously mentioned minions as either a Ghoul as a permanent pet or gargoyle guardian for summoning. In raids or groups the Death knight offers an increase to magical damage debuffs.

The Death knight combines dishing out damage and tanking, giving it a reminiscent feel to that of a warrior. Wearing plate armor, and having a versatile weapon choice with either dual wielding or using two handed weapons shields tend to be unnecessary for this class as they focus mostly on parrying and tough armor, as well as high damage abilities to kill their foes swiftly. Playing a Death Knight you should prepare to be the center of attention as they use attacks to generated a lot of aggro, keeping the mobs focused on you.
